So much for your New Year's Resolution...
Good Saturday morning to you all! Do you remember your New Year's Resolution? The most popular resolution is getting fit, as if the TV commercials and crowded gyms don't make it obvious enough. If you made that resolution, have you kept it? Even if you didn't make that resolution, or a resolution at all, getting fit is very important. I know it's probably easy the first week or two. But then you get tired, you begin to crave Krispy Kreme, and then it just goes downhill from there. So how can you get fit? Here's the best way. Make it a habit. Summertime is the perfect time to accomplish this feat. But the most vital idea you must remember is to start out easy. If you go too hard the first few weeks, you will most likely give up. I remember in my elementary school gym class, we would all take laps around the gym at the beginning of class. The boys always started off sprinting but the girls all joined together and decided to jog. The boys lasted about two laps until they had to walk the rest. However, the girls never had to stop, and were able to increase their speed as they ran. See how this scenario connects to fitness? The girls were able to go harder without stopping because they started out easier than they finished. Here's what you should do if you're just starting and you actually want to finish. Make it a habit to do what I call a "mini-workout" each morning before you face the day. Do simple exercises that really work. Here are a few good and doable exercises.

Now, if you're just starting out, do not do 100+ crunches and 60 bench lifts. Start out with something simple like 30 crunches and 20 bench lifts. It is completely okay to do this. Once you have this down you can slowly build up to 100+ crunches and 40 Mason Twists. Remember if you start out too hard on yourself, there is a better chance you'll give up. When you start out easy, you can build up you're strength. If you're just starting out the process of getting stronger, you must admit to yourself that you are not going to be able to do 10 Burpees on day one. It takes 30 days to stop or start a habit. Do this for 30 days without fail, and you will be able to start the process of getting and staying fit. Now this is only just the first part, the most important part of getting fit is what your eating. But we'll save that for later! Have a great Saturday!

Summer Styles...
Summer 2012 is finally here! I've only been out of school for two days, but I am already spending all of it poolside. This summer, one of my goals is to put together fashionable yet modest outfits for those summer occasions (graduation parties, weddings, cook outs, etc.) that come around each year. Here are just a few things I want in my closet for this summer.
